Dear MLB YA Parents/Guardians and Players:

Please accept our deepest apologies for continuing to push back the actual celebration and “ceremony” for the MLB YA Compton student-athletes AET (Academic Excellence Team) 2023-24 ceremonies. But we are excited to announce that the time has come to “pick up where we left off” last semester and reward all of you players for your efforts in the classroom. The awards ceremony is BACK! We have not forgotten you guys!

We are still looking to acknowledge/recognize all the students who have achieved high grades and have performed superbly in the classroom during this past fall and spring semester. We once again welcome, all our academy members, who have “finished the registration process online” and submitted your grades in 2023, to be here at the Academy on Sunday March 17^th, 2024, at 11:30 am to receive the necessary awards.

All of our student-athletes who attend will be placed on our YA Compton “Academic Excellence Team 2024.” You will be awarded a Certificate of Recognition for their diligence and commitment to academic success.

If you are available on Sunday March 17^th, 2024, at 11:30am and you are still a current MLB YA Compton member/player who has achieved Academic Excellence this semester or last, we want to hear from you and see you again! Please contact me: Coach Rocky E. Gholson and let me know you are coming. Last call!

As a reminder, each grade level will take a group picture for the Fall/Spring Semester 2023-24 Academic Excellence Team. Please wear your MLB YA Compton shirt, and baseball or softball pants for the pictures.
